Job summary

Sora Resource Group in Chattanooga, TN is seeking a maintenance supervisor with hands-on corrugate production experience to lead a team and improve equipment reliability. Ideal candidates have 2+ years in a supervisory role within a corrugate facility, strong electrical and PLC knowledge, and budgeting and scheduling skills to reduce downtime and meet plant KPIs while ensuring safety standards.

You will collaborate with the Maintenance Manager, coach staff, and drive continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Corrugate industry experience in a plant setting.
• Experience leading maintenance teams and achieving KPI targets.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems and PLCs.

Responsibilities

• Report to Maintenance Manager and help lead department goals and KPIs.
• Oversee inventories and budgeting to meet needs within thresholds.
• Lead training and development to improve safety, machinery uptime, and downtime.
• Assist with scheduling, shift meetings, and goal management.

Job description

• Candidates must be a U.S. Citizen, Green Card holder, and/or require no sponsorship of any kind now or in the future.
• In order to be considered, candidates will need experience within the corrugate industry including converting machines (BHS specifically).
• Ideal candidates will have 2+ years in a supervisory and/or Team Lead role with industry experience

Background qualifications:

• Corrugate industry experience including a facility that leads in the conversion of paper to box
• Strong electrical and PLC knowledge as well as the mechanical and pneumatic systems

Day to Day duties:

• Report to the Maintenance Manager to help lead department goals and KPIs
• Oversee department inventories and budgeting to ensure adequate needs are met, and kept within proper thresholds
• Lead personnel through training and development standards to improve standards such as safety, machinery, and plant downtime
• Help Maintenance Manager with operational tasks such as scheduling, shift meetings, and goal management
