The primary mission of Facility Management is to provide a safe and healthy work environment for employees and the public in a cost effective and energy efficient manner. The work requires standing for long periods of time and performing manual labor, which involves possessing physical strength to handle and lift heavy objects up to 50 pounds. The Individual should be capable of crawling, working at heights up to sixty-five feet or more. Some areas may require the use of a respirator and other personal protective equipment. Medical certification is required to verify the individuals' ability to wear and use a respirator. This is a condition of employment. The employee is required to wear a uniform, picture ID badge, use safety equipment and follow safety regulations which are provided by the state. Candidate must present proof of a valid NC Driver's License and proof of an acceptable driving record.
