Broughton Hospital (BH) is currently accepting applications for a full-time Maintenance/Construction Supervisor II.
This position supervises the Carpentry Supervisor, Paint Supervisor and provides overall management and oversight of the following trade groups: Carpentry Department, which includes Interior Components comprised of Tile, Drywall and Plastering and the Paint Department.
The work involves planning, scheduling, and seeing to completion tasks associated with these trades in a hospital environment. Planning involves building code review and coordinating with hospital administration as well as other trade groups. Ability to interpret building and mechanical layout plans, blueprints, schematics and specifications is a necessity. Scheduling will require an understanding of labor and manhours needed to successfully complete tasks. Must possess ability to thoroughly review the quality of completed repairs, construction and/or maintenance work ensuring accurate, efficient and effective resolve.

Applicants who possess the following skills are preferred:
Preference will be given to candidate(s) holding a General Contractor's license in good standing.
Must have a valid NC Driver's License.
Per G.S. 126-5 (c1) (37), this position is Exempt from all provisions of NC General Statute Chapter 126 (State Human Resources Act) with the exception of Articles 6 and 7.
This position is designated as mandatory and must report or stay over during adverse weather events.
Monday - Friday 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM and On-Call Rotation

High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and four (4) years of progressive experience in facility maintenance or construction including experience in at least three (3) building or mechanical trades including one (1) year of supervisory experience in construction, maintenance and/or repair of buildings and facilities; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Necessary Special Qualification May require current certification by the EPA as a Type I, II, III or Universal technician as required by 40 CFR part 82, subpart F.
