Broughton Hospital, part of the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services, seeks a full-time Maintenance/Construction Supervisor II to lead the Carpentry and Paint departments in a hospital setting.
Responsibilities include planning, scheduling, interpreting plans, and coordinating with administration and other trades to ensure quality repairs and maintenance across facilities.

Broughton Hospital (BH) is currently accepting applications for a full-time Maintenance/Construction Supervisor II. This position supervises the Carpentry Supervisor and Paint Supervisor and provides overall management and oversight of the following trade groups: Carpentry Department, which includes Interior Components comprised of Tile, Drywall and Plastering and the Paint Department. The work involves planning, scheduling, and seeing to completion tasks associated with these trades in a hospital environment. Planning involves building code review and coordinating with hospital administration as well as other trade groups. Ability to interpret building and mechanical layout plans, blueprints, schematics and specifications is a necessity. Scheduling will require an understanding of labor and manhours needed to successfully complete tasks. Must possess ability to thoroughly review the quality of completed repairs, construction and/or maintenance work ensuring accurate, efficient and effective resolve.
Salary Range: $52,592.00 - $92,036.00

Monday - Friday 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM and On-Call Rotation. Flexibility is required for education and training purposes and to meet the needs of the facility.

With the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services, we provide help and support to North Carolinians, and their families, experiencing mental illness. Our hospital serves the western thirty-seven (37) counties of North Carolina, as part of the state's system of care and treatment for persons with mental illness.

High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and four (4) years of progressive experience in facility maintenance or construction including experience in at least three (3) building or mechanical trades including one (1) year of supervisory experience in construction, maintenance and/or repair of buildings and facilities; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
May require current certification by the EPA as a Type I, II, III or Universal technician as required by 40 CFR part 82, subpart F.
