Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club is seeking a dedicated maintenance/janitorial team member to help keep the club clean and well-maintained for members and staff. The role includes cart handling, cleaning duties, and basic repairs to ensure a safe and welcoming shopping environment.

Applicants should be able to complete required trainings, and prior experience in maintenance or retail is a plus. The position emphasizes reliability and teamwork in a fast-paced wholesale setting.

Qualifications

• Must successfully complete required training and certification processes.
• Prior maintenance or janitorial experience preferred, but not required.
• Prior retail/wholesale experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides members with prompt and courteous service and assistance.
• Maintains cleanliness of all club areas including floor, restrooms, and outdoor grounds.
• Gathers and returns carts and flatbeds from the parking lot to the club entrance.
• Operates floor scrubber, trash compactor and cardboard baler machines safely.
• Performs minor and routine building repairs and notifies management when major repairs may be required.
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of this job.
