Job summary

Temple Emanu-El seeks a proactive Maintenance Attendant to ensure smooth operation and upkeep of building systems, equipment, and infrastructure. You will help maintain a safe, efficient, and welcoming environment for staff and visitors.

Responsibilities include repairing minor mechanical, HVAC, plumbing tasks; painting and refinishing; meeting space upkeep; coordinating with vendors; assisting in room setup and teardown; and arranging conference equipment as needed.

Qualifications

• Basic HVAC knowledge.
• Trade school education preferred.
• Must be able to push, pull and lift a variety of objects weighing 5–70 pounds, place risers up to 150 pounds.
• Time management and ability to work on multiple projects.
• Ability to climb on roofs for repairs and cleaning.
• Must be able to work weekends.

Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and versatile Maintenance Attendant to join our dynamic facilities team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of our building systems, equipment, and infrastructure. Your expertise will help maintain a safe, efficient, and welcoming environment for staff and visitors alike.

Basic Functions:

• 1. Make minor mechanical, equipment, and plumbing repairs
• 2. Painting, woodworking and refinishing
• 3. Maintain the appearance of the meeting spaces
• 4. Work with vendors and sub-contractors as the Temple representative
• 5. Occasionally assist in the set-up and break-down of meeting rooms
• 6. Assemble and arrange conference equipment

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
