We are seeking a reliable, community-minded Maintenance Associate to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will be responsible for helping to service, repair, and maintain 7 distinct Bayside properties across the Port Hadlock and Port Townsend area. This is a highly varied role where your everyday work directly impacts the safety, comfort, and well-being of our residents and staff.
Experience: 2+ years of general maintenance experience is preferred, but we will train the right candidate who possesses a strong work ethic and an alignment with our mission.
Driving: Must have a valid Washington State driver's license and a clean driving record (travel between local sites is required).
Screening: Must be able to successfully pass a comprehensive background check.
Availability: Ability to work a flexible full-time schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed to support operations.
Reliability: Must be responsible, self-motivated, and able to provide excellent professional references.
Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate, non-judgmental approach to interacting with diverse populations experiencing housing instability.
Physical Demands: Must be able to comfortably lift, carry, and move up to 50 lbs independently (and assist with heavier furniture/appliances as a team).
