Essential duties and Responsibilities:
• Maintain vehicles and other tools in functional conditions by listening to operator complaints; conduct inspections and repairs when necessary
• General repair and maintenance of facility equipment on a regular basis
• Ensure that the warehouse is clean, safe, secure, and organized at all times
• Use forklifts and other machinery when needed
• Ensure that all vehicles and machinery are up-to-date with government regulations
• Regular preventive maintenance of items, such as engine tune-ups, oil changes, tire rotation and changes, wheel balancing, replacing filters
• Repair mechanical and electrical system malfunctions; replace parts and components; repair body damage on truck and forklifts
• Maintains vehicle records by recording service and repairs
• Responds to emergency situations as required
• Other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Requirements:
• Knowledge of the tools, equipment, materials, and application techniques used in the warehouse
• Good communication and personal skills
• Previous warehouse/mechanical experience preferred
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions
• Ability to solve problems in independent and team setting
• Safety commitment
• Basic computer knowledge
• Bilingual: English and Spanish preferred
