Job summary

The Town of Ocean City’s Maintenance Division is looking for reliable, personable people to assists in all City special events and other maintenance duties as assigned. Greeting guests with a positive and professional attitude is important as you are representing the Town of Ocean City, at all times.

Maintenance Assistant Workers will be working as Maintenance Assistants and working on the Ocean City Boardwalk, Parking Lots, Streets and areas around Town.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must be available days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Paints street curbs, buildings, etc.
• Shovels snow and salts/sands sidewalks and roads and city buildings.
• Digs and cleans out storm drains, catch basins, culverts and curbs.
• Cleans beach and city streets of debris.
• Installs road signs and parking machines.
• Repairs decking on boardwalks.
• Assists in all City special events and other maintenance duties, as assigned.

The Town of Ocean City’s Maintenance Division is looking for reliable, personable people to assists in all City special events and other maintenance duties as assigned. Greeting guests with a positive and professional attitude is important as you are representing the Town of Ocean City, at all times. Maintenance Assistant Workers will be working as Maintenance Assistants and working on the Ocean City Boardwalk, Parking Lots, Streets and areas around Town. Maintenance Workers will be assisting with setting up Special Events, sweeping, emptying trash cans and interacting with the public.

In addition, the Town of Ocean City is looking for a few additional people with a valid driver’s license who would be responsible for performing the above duties and driving Town vehicles.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Position Details:

• Hourly rate $16.86 for new employees and $17.20 for returning employees (who meet specified requirements)
• Must be available days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen test.
