Job summary

Highgate Senior Living in Temecula, CA is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to support building care, resident suites, and common areas, ensuring safety, cleanliness, and comfort for residents and staff.

You will perform preventive maintenance, minor repairs, safety drills, and maintain logs, while delivering excellent customer service and clear communication with residents and teammates. This is a hands-on role requiring problem-solving, teamwork, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• At least 21 years old with valid driver’s license.
• Current negative TB test; able to pass background check.
• Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs with assistance and be on feet.
• CPR/First Aid or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Complete work orders and routine repairs; assist with painting.
• Help with safety checks, drills, and documentation.
• Maintain tools, supplies, and equipment logs.
• Support housekeeping tasks and grounds care as needed.
• Communicate clearly with residents and team on progress.

About the role

Support building care, resident suites, and common areas to keep the community safe, clean, and comfortable.

Assist with preventive maintenance, minor repairs, and safety programs with great customer service.
