Job summary

Spring Valley Memory Care in Las Vegas is looking for a skilled Part-time Maintenance Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will facilitate successful physical community operations by performing repairs and maintenance tasks such as plumbing, painting, light electrical, and HVAC work.

This role will report to the Maintenance Director and requires strong communication skills. Candidates should have a high school diploma and relevant experience. We promote a drug-free workplace and value a diverse workforce.

Qualifications

  • Must possess demonstrated success in a similar position.
  • May be required to hold valid First Aid Certification and valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure completion of work orders.
  • Assist with move-in/out details. Prepare/repair rooms for resident use.
  • Repair plumbing fixtures.
  • Repair electrical apparatus.
  • Repair appliances.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitary conditions in floors.
  • Perform door removal and installation. Repair door locks and make adjustments.
  • Perform wall texturing, painting, wall repairs and wallpapering.

Skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Basic math solving skills

Education

High School diploma or equivalent
Degree or certificate from a two-year technical school program preferred

We’re looking for a Part-time Maintenance Assistant to join our team!

Maintenance Assistant duties include but not limited to facilitating the successful physical community operations by performing repairs and maintenance (plumbing, painting, light electrical, light HVAC, etc.) of the property that will promote a high sense of well‑being and aesthetic appeal for residents, families and staff. This position will report to the Maintenance Director.
