Job summary

Senior Resource Group is seeking a Maintenance Technician to oversee daily upkeep of a 363-apartment, 20-acre campus. The role reports to the Maintenance Director and offers room for advancement in a senior living community environment.

Responsibilities include completing work orders, preventive maintenance, inventory control, and responding to emergencies on a 24-hour schedule. Prior hotel or apartment maintenance experience is preferred and high-quality hospitality is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Up to one year related maintenance experience or training.
• Previous hotel or apartment maintenance experience preferred.
• Able to read and follow instructions and communicate effectively.
• Excellent hospitality and resident-focused service.

Responsibilities

• Complete all work orders as assigned.
• Maintain a 363-apartments, 20-acre campus property.
• Perform preventive maintenance program as scheduled.
• Manage inventory controls for cost-effective operations.
• Handle 24-hour emergency maintenance as scheduled.
• Complete make-ready of vacant apartments.

Job Description

Maintain the day-to-day operations and assume responsibility for maintaining the physical asset of the property under the direction of the Maintenance Director. This is a great opportunity with room for advancement!

Essential Duties

• Responsible for the completion of all Work Order requests as assigned.
• Routinely performs maintenance throughout the property of 363 apartments, 20 acre campus with numerous common areas.
• Complete make-ready process of vacant apartments as directed by the Maintenance Director.
• Work within expense limits established.
• Maintain inventory controls for cost effective operations.
• Schedule and complete the "Preventative Maintenance Program".
• Responsible for 24-hour emergency maintenance service as scheduled.
• Special projects and other responsibilities as may be determined.
  

Qualifications

• Prefer Previous experience as a hotel or apartment complex maintenance worker
• Excellent Team Player who works well with minimal supervision
• Provides quality maintenance work in a timely manner
• Excellent hospitality skills, as most maintenance work is performed in the resident's apartment, which is their home
• Attention to detail is important
• High school graduate; up to one year related experience or training.
• Previous experience as hotel maintenance worker, or property management maintenance worker.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written or oral instructions.
• As required by local and state regulating bodies.
