Job summary

MyMichigan Health seeks a Maintenance Helper to support Facility Operations. You will perform repairs, assist in preventive and corrective maintenance of buildings and equipment, and help security during emergencies.

Qualifications

• Sufficient, practical experience to warrant on-the-job training.
• Ability to read, write and follow written and oral instructions.
• Must be mechanically inclined.

Responsibilities

• Completes less complex work orders regarding repairs and general maintenance.
• Maintains mechanical rooms and storage areas (lighting, housekeeping, painting, minor repair).
• Assists in preventative and corrective maintenance including plumbing, minor electrical, HVAC, equipment and roof as instructed.
• Performs facility operations housekeeping duties, e.g., shop cleanup and parts room inventory.
