Job summary

Cygnet is seeking a skilled Maintenance Assistant for Redmarley to provide a comprehensive maintenance and repair service across care sites. You will perform basic joinery, plumbing, painting and general building work, while keeping plant and vehicles in good order and ensuring fire safety checks are completed.

The role requires willingness to travel, a full driving licence and ability to communicate clearly with colleagues at all levels.

Qualifications

• Experience in painting and decorating both indoors and outdoors.
• Willing to travel and hold a full valid driving licence.
• Able to communicate at all levels and record maintenance information accurately.

Responsibilities

• Provide a comprehensive maintenance and repair service.
• Carry out painting, joinery, plumbing and general building tasks.
• Maintain plant, services and vehicles in working order.
• Comply with safe working practices and report hazards.
• Travel to other sites and be on call for emergency repairs when needed.

Be a part of it.We are looking for a skilled Maintenance Assistant with a passion for making a difference to others.Youll be working40 hours per week, 08:00am to 16:00pm, at Redmarley , helping provide a safe and healthy environment for the people in our care.Redmarley is a specialist residential service with nursing, designed to support people with mental health conditions and other complex needs. Our nurse-led team provides a safe, comfortable, and therapeutic home environment. We empower people to achieve their personal goals and live fulfilling lives.

Your day-to-day...

• Provide a comprehensive maintenance & repair service
• Carry out a range of tasks including basic joinery, plumbing, painting & general building work
• Maintain plant, services & vehicles in working order
• Comply with safe working practices & report faulty equipment & potential hazards
• Travel to other sites & on occasions be on call to carry out emergency repairs outside of normal working hours
• Check the fire alarm points weekly, including fire exits, door retaining devices & fire emergency lights

You are...

• Experienced in all types of painting and decorating in both indoor and outdoor environments
• Willing to travel & hold a full valid driving licence
• Able to communicate at all levels & record detailed, accurate maintenance information
• Skilled at DIY & general maintenance
• Preferably Level 2 Diploma qualified in Painting & Decorating/Maintenance
• Friendly, conscientious & an excellent team member with a positive attitude
