Job summary

CommCare Corporation is seeking a Full-Time Maintenance Assistant at Lakeland Community Care Center in Jackson, MS. You will perform general building maintenance, monitor plumbing and HVAC systems, and respond to work orders to support residents’ care needs.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent with 2–5 years in building maintenance, preferably in a healthcare setting, plus supervisory skills. Competitive pay and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and 2-5 years building maintenance experience.
• Prior work experience in a healthcare facility (nursing home or hospital) is preferred.
• Prior supervisory experience and/or leadership skills.
• Knowledge of general building maintenance practices and procedures.
• Ability to repair minor mechanical equipment.
• Knowledge of safety requirements and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform general building maintenance tasks; receive work orders and perform tasks required to complete duties assigned.
• Monitor and record water temperatures throughout the facility, such as resident use areas, laundry and dietary areas.
• Monitor and maintain HVAC system, electrical systems, and emergency generator systems.
• Other duties as assigned.
