Job summary

Elliron Residential is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to support daily upkeep and repairs across the community. You will assist the Maintenance Technician and Supervisor, perform preventive maintenance, and help keep living spaces safe and well-maintained for residents.

This entry-level role offers hands-on experience across plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general trades, with growth potential into a Maintenance Technician position.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to interpret basic schematics and technical diagrams.
• Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical troubleshooting, and painting.
• Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other maintenance equipment safely.
• Willingness to wear required safety gear (back support belt, goggles, masks, and gloves as tasks dictate).
• Full-time availability, minimum 35 hours/week, including weekends as circumstances warrant.

Responsibilities

• Preventive Maintenance & Safety: Support routine preventive maintenance on property equipment as directed by the Maintenance Technician, Maintenance Supervisor, and Community Manager.
• General Maintenance: Assist with routine maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general mechanical repairs; read schematics and manuals to diagnose issues.
• Grounds & General Support: Assist in keeping grounds neat; support larger projects; assist with safety inspections and daily upkeep.
• Conduct all business in accordance with company policies, Fair Housing, and all applicable laws.
