Job summary

CAPREIT is seeking a Maintenance Assistant for their Impressions community in Newport News, VA. The property has 414 units and Garden-style living, with 1 opening. Responsibilities include janitorial tasks, maintaining common areas, preparing vacant units, and assisting in repairs.

Schedule is Monday–Friday with on-call duties. Qualifications include prior janitorial/groundskeeping/housekeeping experience, a valid driver’s license, and a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Previous janitorial, groundskeeping, or housekeeping experience.
• A valid driver’s license to operate company vehicle/golf cart.
• A high school diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Perform all janitorial functions required to keep the community in a clean and safe condition, including public/common areas and vacant apartments as needed.
• Assist in preventative maintenance and community repairs when required.
