Job description

Description

  1. Ensure that maintenance schedules are followed as outlined for respective shift or area.
  2. Report all accidents/incidents to your supervisor, regardless of severity, on the shift they occur.
  3. Coordinate daily maintenance services with nursing staff when performing routine tasks in resident areas.
  4. Perform other duties as directed by your supervisor, department director, or administrator.
  5. Maintain resident confidentiality and report any violations promptly to the Administrator.
  6. Attend departmental and staff meetings as required.
  7. Follow assigned tasks and file complaints or grievances with your supervisor.
  8. Follow maintenance schedules and policies, including routine maintenance on grounds and facility equipment.
  9. Perform repairs such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical work as directed.
  10. Clean windows, replace bulbs, and perform cleaning duties as necessary.
  11. Service heating and cooling units according to manufacturer instructions and policies.
  12. Handle unscheduled maintenance tasks as assigned and replenish supplies as needed.
  13. Ensure the facility and equipment are maintained for resident comfort.
  14. Report equipment malfunctions promptly and follow safety precautions.
  15. Assist with lifting heavy objects and ensure equipment is cleaned and stored properly.
  16. Maintain confidentiality of resident information and report any unauthorized disclosures.
  17. Inform residents about moving their personal possessions when necessary.
