Maintenance Assistant / Driver

Yorkview Nursing and Rehab – York, PA

Yorkview Nursing and Rehab is seeking a dependable Maintenance Assistant / Driver to join our team in York, PA. This position combines facility maintenance support with resident transportation and is ideal for someone who is dependable, hands‑on, and enjoys working with residents.

Shift Available

• Full‑Time

• Monday–Friday

• Every Other Saturday

Responsibilities

Maintenance Support

• Assist the Maintenance Director with routine maintenance and repairs throughout the facility

• Help maintain the building, grounds, equipment, and common areas in a safe and orderly condition

• Assist with painting, minor repairs, furniture and equipment movement, and other general maintenance duties

• Perform routine inspections and report maintenance concerns or safety hazards

• Assist with preventative maintenance and ensure equipment is maintained in good working condition

• Follow all facility safety procedures and applicable regulations

Resident Transportation

• Provide safe transportation for residents to and from physician appointments, dialysis, and other necessary destinations

• Assist residents with safe entry and exit from the vehicle and escort them to appointments as needed

• Ensure resident safety, comfort, and dignity throughout transportation

• Communicate with nursing staff regarding transportation schedules and resident needs

• Keep the facility vehicle clean and in good working condition

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required

• Clean driving record required

• Previous maintenance, transportation, or healthcare experience preferred

• Basic knowledge of general maintenance and repair procedures

• Ability to safely assist and interact with elderly and/or disabled residents

• Dependable, organized, and able to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
