The City of Surprise is looking for individuals to assist in the maintenance and repair of public facilities, including athletic fields and parks. Incumbents will perform basic maintenance tasks, requiring a valid Arizona driver's license and the ability to work flexible hours. This position offers a great opportunity to support community events and maintain public spaces.
SUMMARY
Incumbents in this position assist with unskilled and limited semi-skilled tasks in the maintenance and/or repair of athletic fields, parks, tennis or pickle ball courts, aquatics facilities, related public facilities, parking lots, and other public grounds. Depending on assignment, incumbents may be required to work evenings, holidays, and weekends to support events and tournaments. Some positions may require driving a city vehicle to travel from various public facilities.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Any combination of education and experience, which provides the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the work.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must have at time of hire and be able to maintain a valid Arizona Driver’s License.
