Job summary

Claiborne Senior Living is seeking a reliable Maintenance Assistant to support daily upkeep, safety, and resident comfort in our senior living community. You will help maintain building systems and grounds, working with a team that values integrity and attention to detail.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of maintenance experience, basic knowledge of HVAC/plumbing/electrical, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years of maintenance or facilities experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical).
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Dependable and able to work independently.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Willingness to respond to occasional emergency needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist with routine maintenance and repair of building systems.
• Support preventative maintenance programs.
• Perform minor plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry tasks.
• Complete work orders in a timely and professional manner.
• Maintain grounds, common areas, and equipment.
• Follow safety and OSHA guidelines.
• Assist with emergency repairs as needed.
• Help maintain organized maintenance records.
