The Claiborne at Newnan Lakes in Newnan, GA, is seeking a reliable Maintenance Assistant to support daily upkeep, safety, and the home-like feel of our senior living community.

You’ll handle routine repairs, assist with preventative maintenance, basic plumbing, electrical, and HVAC tasks, maintain common areas and records, and respond to emergencies with care and OSHA-compliant practice.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1–3 years of maintenance or facilities experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical).
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Dependable and able to work independently.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Willingness to be flexible for occasional emergency response needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist with routine maintenance and repair of building systems.
• Support preventative maintenance programs.
• Perform minor plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry tasks.
• Complete work orders in a timely and professional manner.
• Maintain grounds, common areas, and equipment.
• Follow safety and OSHA guidelines.
