Job summary

Responsibilities include minor repairs to fixtures, electrical equipment, HVAC filters, and Life Safety tasks in the TELS system. Requirements: high school diploma or equivalent, 1 year maintenance experience, and a competency evaluation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year maintenance experience required.
• Completion of a training and competency evaluation program is required.
• Orientation must be completed per company policy.
• Health screening and TB test within two weeks of employment.
• Mandatory drug test within 90 days of hire.
• Criminal background check must be clear.

• Make minor repairs on handrails, windows, flooring, walls, ceilings, beds, wheelchairs, electrical equipment, emergency lighting, fire extinguishers, and HVAC filters.

The primary purpose of the Maintenance Assistant is to ensure the highest quality and cleanliness of resident care available, support staff, and establish a positive reputation in the community. This position is responsible for maintaining the facility.

Maintenance Assistant Responsibilities

• Report to Maintenance Director/Supervisor
• Make minor repairs on handrails, windows, flooring, walls, ceilings, beds, wheelchairs, electrical equipment, emergency lighting, fire alarms and extinguishers, changes filters on HVAC equipment, lifts and stocks supplies.
• Take care of the tools and equipment.
• Operate in the TELS platform system for all Life Safety, regulatory and daily tasks.

Maintenance Assistant Requirements

• Basic knowledge of wiring, plumbing, painting, and carpentry.
• Successful completion of a training and competency evaluation program required.
• Completion of orientation required by company policy.
• Health screening and TB test (if required) within two weeks of employment.
• Mandatory drug test within 90 days of hire.
• Must be free of criminal activity proven by a criminal background check.
• Show within three (3) days of hire satisfactory evidence of identity and eligibility for employment.
• Highschool Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Maintenance.
