Job summary

Valley Falls Terrace in Spartanburg, SC is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to help ensure our facility meets the highest standards of safety, cleanliness, and comfort for patients and their families.

In this role you will support the Maintenance Director with daily tasks across painting, light carpentry, electrical and plumbing work, grounds maintenance, and preventative upkeep, all within a healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.
• HVAC certification is a plus.
• Knowledge of safety regulations in healthcare settings.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver\'s license.
• Maintenance experience preferred in a healthcare facility.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Maintenance Director with the overall safety, appearance, and maintenance of the facility in accordance with all applicable Federal, State, and Local requirements at all times
• Take part in painting, light carpentry, electrical, plumbing, grounds maintenance, and preventative maintenance

Position Summary

The Maintenance Assistant plays a key role in ensuring that our grounds exceed the expectations of our patients and their families while they are in our care.

Posted Salary Range

USD $18.00 - USD $20.00 /Hr.

Wage Commensuration

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, education and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist the Maintenance Director with the overall safety, appearance, and maintenance of the facility in accordance with all applicable Federal, State, and Local requirements at all times
• Take part in part in painting, light carpentry, electrical, plumbing, grounds maintenance, and preventative maintenance

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum a High School Diploma or equivalent G.E.D required
• Knowledgeable on various mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems required, HVAC certification a plus
• Knowledge of safety regulations required
• Reliable source of transportation and valid driver's license required
• Maintenance experience preferred; especially in a healthcare facility
