Job summary

Red Bank Center for Rehabilitation and Healing is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Assistant to support HVAC, electrical, plumbing, painting, and carpentry tasks for residents and staff.

This on-site position offers pay rates of $17-21.25/hr, Daily Pay, insurance, PTO, 401k, and direct deposit; training is available for the right candidate in a friendly, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Maintenance Assistant responsibilities include assisting in inspections and repairs of HVAC equipment, electrical systems, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and general maintenance tasks.
• Willingness to follow maintenance standards and coordinate with nursing staff.
• Training available for right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Assist in inspections and repairs HVAC equipment, cooling units, heating units, water systems, and ventilation.
• Assist in drywall repairs, mudding, taping, and sanding.
• Paint walls and ceilings as needed.
• Perform minor plumbing repairs and replace fixtures.
• Shovel snow and apply ice melt for safe passage.
• Perform minor electrical repairs including outlets and switches.
• Coordinate daily maintenance services with nursing staff when in resident areas.
• Complete administrative forms and reports as needed.
• Ensure supplies are stocked and equipment stored safely.
• Perform general carpentry and concrete work.
• Perform general landscaping and yard work.

Maintenance Assistant Major Responsibilities and Critical Tasks:

• Assist in inspections and repairs HVAC equipment cooling units, heading units, hot water systems, ventilation equipment and other standard equipment.
• Assist in repairs and installs drywall including mudding, taping, and sanding.
• Painting walls and ceilings as needed
• Performs minor plumbing repairs, including unplugging, repairing, and replacing toilets, lavatories, sinks and replacing faulty gate and ball vales.
• Shovels snow and scatter ice melts to insure safe passage for residents, public and other employees.
• Performs minor electrical repairs including replacing faulty outlets, switches, and other electrical apparatus.
• Assists and follows maintenance standards.
• Performs general rough and finish carpentry as well as rough and finish concrete work.
• Performs general landscaping, yard work including mowing, cleanup, and other types of general yard work.
• Coordinates daily maintenance services with nursing services when performing maintenance assignments in resident living and/or recreational areas.
• Perform administrative requirements (i.e., completing necessary forms, reports. Etc.) and submits to the facility Administrator, as necessary.
• Ensures an adequate supply of maintenance supplies is available to perform tasks.
• Ensures equipment is clean and safely stored at the end of the shift.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
