Job summary

Cedar Healthcare Center in Portsmouth, NH is seeking a Full-Time Maintenance Assistant to help keep the facility safe, clean, and operating efficiently for residents, visitors, and staff.

You will perform basic plumbing, electrical, painting, carpentry, and HVAC maintenance, conduct routine safety inspections, and assist with room setups and grounds. This is a hands-on role in a supportive team focused on safety and quality care.

Qualifications

  • Previous maintenance experience preferred.
  • General knowledge of building systems and repair techniques.
  • Ability to safely operate maintenance tools and equipment.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the daily maintenance and repair of the facility and grounds.
  • Complete work orders in a timely manner.
  • Perform basic plumbing, electrical, painting, carpentry, and HVAC maintenance.
  • Conduct routine preventative maintenance and safety inspections.
  • Assist with room setups, furniture moves, and equipment repairs.
