Job summary

Oxford Crossings in Pennsylvania is seeking a Maintenance Assistant for a full-time, 8:00am–4:30pm schedule. Compensation ranges from $21 to $23 per hour, with daily pay options available to eligible staff.

The Maintenance Assistant will perform daily rounds, handle basic plumbing/electrical/cosmetic repairs, review work orders, support resident living spaces, assist with moves, and troubleshoot issues to ensure safety and comfort.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ years general maintenance experience preferred.
• Experience in healthcare settings is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily physical rounds to identify maintenance needs and safety concerns.
• Perform minor plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and cosmetic repairs.
• Review maintenance request logs and complete work orders promptly.
• Collaborate with staff to improve resident spaces and facility environment.
• Assist with furniture moves, equipment repairs, and general projects.
• Troubleshoot maintenance issues to support safety and comfort.
• Ensure work adheres to safety standards and facility policies.

Responsibilities for Maintenance Assistant:

• Complete daily physical rounds throughout the facility to identify and address maintenance needs and safety concerns.


• Perform minor plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and cosmetic repairs to facility systems and equipment.


• Review maintenance request logs regularly and complete work orders accurately and promptly.


• Collaborate with staff to support improvements in resident living spaces and overall facility environment.


• Assist with furniture moves, equipment repairs, and general maintenance projects as assigned.


• Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues promptly and efficiently to support resident safety and comfort.


• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with safety standards, facility policies, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications for Maintenance Assistant:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.


• One (1) or more years of general maintenance experience required (painting, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, or related trades).


• Skilled nursing facility experience preferred.


• Basic understanding of safety procedures and maintenance best practices.


• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
