Job Details

• Pay Grade: $14.50/hr

Purpose of the Position

The primary purpose of this position is to assist the Director of Maintenance in planning, organizing, developing, and directing the overall operation of the Maintenance Department, ensuring the facility is maintained in a safe and comfortable manner according to applicable standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

1. Assist in planning, developing, and directing maintenance activities.
2. Develop and implement maintenance policies and procedures.
3. Coordinate with other departments and ensure compliance with safety and health regulations.
4. Conduct inspections and participate in surveys and audits.
5. Manage maintenance staff, including training, scheduling, and evaluations.
6. Ensure safety protocols are followed and maintain safety equipment.
7. Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment.
8. Handle emergency situations and perform administrative duties related to maintenance.
9. Participate in committee functions and staff development programs.
10. Ensure resident rights are maintained and confidentiality preserved.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing systems, and building codes.
• Relevant licensing and ability to read blueprints.
• Ability to make independent decisions and deal tactfully with personnel and residents.
• Physical ability to perform maintenance tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
