Holiday Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center is a 170-bed Sub-Acute and Long-Term Care facility seeking a Maintenance Assistant to keep the environment safe, functional, and welcoming for residents, visitors, and staff. This full-time position emphasizes rounds, collaborative work, and adherence to safety standards.

You will perform plumbing, electrical, and cosmetic repairs, review work orders, and support improvements to resident living spaces.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year or more of general maintenance experience.
• Skilled nursing facility experience preferred.
• Basic understanding of safety procedures and maintenance best practices.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily rounds to identify maintenance needs and safety concerns.
• Carry out minor plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and cosmetic repairs.
• Review logs and complete work orders accurately and promptly.
• Collaborate with staff to improve resident living spaces and facility environment.
• Assist with furniture moves and general maintenance projects.
• Troubleshoot issues to support resident safety and comfort.
• Ensure all work complies with safety standards and facility policies.

Pay: $20-$25 an hour! (all inclusive)

Responsibilities for Maintenance Assistant:

• Complete daily physical rounds throughout the facility to identify and address maintenance needs and safety concerns.
• Perform minor plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and cosmetic repairs to facility systems and equipment.
• Review maintenance request logs regularly and complete work orders accurately and promptly.
• Collaborate with staff to support improvements in resident living spaces and overall facility environment.
• Assist with furniture moves, equipment repairs, and general maintenance projects as assigned.
• Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues promptly and efficiently to support resident safety and comfort.
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with safety standards, facility policies, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications for Maintenance Assistant:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One (1) or more years of general maintenance experience required (painting, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, or related trades).
• Skilled nursing facility experience preferred.
• Basic understanding of safety procedures and maintenance best practices.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
