Job summary

Avalon Village, operated by American Senior Communities, LLC, is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to support the Maintenance Supervisor in keeping the community’s grounds and facilities in excellent condition.

The role is full-time, on-site, with on-call duties every other weekend, contributing to a safe and welcoming environment for residents and staff.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience required or preferred.
  • 2+ years in maintenance is a plus.
  • Demonstrates CARE values: Compassion, Accountability, Relationships and Excellence.

Responsibilities

Maintenance Assistant Opportunity at Avalon Village!

Full-Time, On-Call Every other Weekend

The Maintenance Assistant assists the Maintenance Supervisor in maintaining the community’s physical plant and grounds ensuring a safe, attractive and enjoyable living environment for our residents, staff and the public.

Skills Needed:

  • Physical Abilities: Stamina, strength and endurance to provide maintenance services.
  • Supportive Presence: Create a comforting and engaging atmosphere for our residents.
  • Teamwork: The ability to work toward a common goal of excellent care for our residents.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrates C.A.R.E. values to our residents, family members, customers and staff. Compassion, Accountability, Relationships and Excellence
  • Prior maintenance experience preferred - drywall, plumbing, painting.
  • Knowledge in electrical, heating and cooling helpful.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
