Job summary

Napa Post Acute is seeking a dependable Maintenance Assistant to help keep our skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility safe, clean, and comfortable for residents, visitors, and staff. You will support maintenance and appearance, perform routine tasks, and respond to requests promptly in a hands-on environment.

The ideal candidate has basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry repairs, can lift up to 50 pounds, and works well in a team.

Qualifications

• Previous maintenance, facilities, building services, or handyman experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry repairs.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical work throughout the day.
• Experience in healthcare, skilled nursing, senior living, or hospitality is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with general building maintenance and repairs.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance tasks.
• Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner.
• Complete basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting projects.
• Maintain grounds and outdoor areas as needed.
• Assist with equipment inspections and minor repairs.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and facility standards.
