Job summary

Majestic Care of Cedar Village is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to perform routine maintenance and upkeep of the building and grounds. The role supports TELS system follow-up, life safety tracking, and coordination with contractors on renovations or replacements.

You will assist in painting, carpentry, and basic repairs while upholding a compassionate, customer-focused service culture. As part of the Majestic Difference, the position emphasizes empathy, reliability, and professional conduct

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, preferred but not required.
• One year of experience in building maintenance.
• Be able to use computers and the Microsoft Office suite of applications.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repair to keep the building and equipment in good working order.
• Daily follow up of the TELS system for building management and tracking of Life Safety and maintenance services/repairs.
• Monitor building and equipment renovations, remodeling, or replacement projects done by contractors.
• Under supervision, maintain and repair HVAC, refrigerators, boilers, washers and dryers and other equipment.
• Assist in painting, redecorating, carpentry, concrete, and masonry projects.
• Conduct and document routine inspection of fire control equipment and sprinkler systems.
• Maintain weekly facility log of domestic hot water temperature, generator checklist, and monthly fire alarm system testing and sprinkler pressure, for survey and safety compliance.
• Coordinate and document monthly fire drills.
• Demonstrate empathy, courteous, kind and professional workplace behavior and customer services to all residents, Care Team Members, vendors, visitors and family members at all times.
• Attend all mandatory in-services; and complete timely all necessary Relias trainings scheduled to perform.
• Keep abreast of and discuss policies, procedures and business practices within scope of the position.
