Job summary

NHS Management, LLC seeks a Maintenance Assistant to maintain the facility grounds and assist with general maintenance inside and outside the building. This role supports patient care by ensuring a safe, clean, and well-maintained environment for residents and staff.

Qualities include one year of related field experience, ability to follow instructions, good organization, and a proactive, patient attitude toward the elderly and disabled. Benefits are available.

Qualifications

• Experience with mechanics, carpentry, electrical, painting or related fields (minimum 1 year).
• Ability to interpret written or oral instructions and diagrams.
• Ability to organize work schedules to meet demands.
• Ability to take initiative and work independently.
• Patience and positive attitude toward elderly and disabled; English reading/writing proficiency.

Under the direction of the Maintenance Director, the Maintenance Assistant is responsible for maintaining the facility grounds and assisting with general maintenance services inside and outside the facility.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge and experience with mechanics, carpentry, electrical, painting etc. Minimum of one (1) year experience in related field
• Ability to interpret a variety of instruction furnished in written or oral diagram, or schedule form
• Ability to organize work schedule to meet work order demands
• Ability to take initiative and work independently
• Must have patience, tact, enthusiasm, and positive attitude toward the elderly and disabled
• Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English
• Must be capable of performing the ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS and PHYSICAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL JOB FUNCTIONS
