Job summary

Prattville-Health-and-Rehabilitation-LLC in Prattville, AL seeks a Maintenance Assistant to maintain the facility grounds and assist with general maintenance inside and outside the building. The role works under the Maintenance Director and supports activities to keep patient areas safe and functional.

Candidate should have basic mechanical and repair skills, the ability to follow written/oral instructions, and a patient, positive attitude toward elderly residents.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge and experience with mechanics, carpentry, electrical, painting etc. (min 1 year in related field)
• Ability to interpret instructions furnished in written or oral diagram or schedule form
• Ability to organize work schedule to meet work order demands
• Ability to take initiative and work independently
• Must have patience, tact, enthusiasm, and positive attitude toward the elderly and disabled
• Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English
• Must be capable of performing the ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS and PHYSICAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL JOB FUNCTIONS

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge and experience with mechanics, carpentry, electrical, painting etc. Minimum of one (1) year experience in related field


• Ability to interpret a variety of instruction furnished in written or oral diagram, or schedule form


• Ability to organize work schedule to meet work order demands


• Ability to take initiative and work independently
