Kadima Rehabilitation & Nursing at Latrobe in Latrobe, PA is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to implement required maintenance procedures efficiently and safely, meeting federal, state, and local requirements for resident environments.

You will perform repairs across walls, doors, ceilings, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems, follow director's maintenance schedule, and help keep resident rooms, hallways, and surrounding areas in good order.

• Perform routine maintenance on plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical systems.
• Assist with grounds maintenance, lighting, on-call hours, and holidays/weekends as required.

Maintenance Assistant

The primary purpose of the job position is to implement required maintenance procedures in an efficient, cost effective manner meeting all federal, state, and local requirements while providing a safe environment for our residents.

As Maintenance Assistant, you are delegated the authority, responsibility, and accountability necessary for carrying out your assigned duties.

Perform all assigned tasks in accordance with our established policies and procedures, and as instructed by your supervisors. Maintains facility by repairing walls, baseboards, doors, ceilings, mirrors, windows, removing trash, etc.. Moves furniture in order to complete assignment. Assists with cleaning of resident room(s) upon transfer, discharge, or death. Follows the maintenance schedule instructions from the Director. Performs routine maintenance repair on the facility and equipment to include plumbing, wall repair, carpentry, electrical, mechanical, etc. as directed. Complete maintenance request slips. Performs routine maintenance of the grounds, parking areas, replaces light bulbs, and assists with preventative maintenance. Assists in smooth operations of the maintenance department. Will work some holidays and weekends and may have on-call hours.
