Morningside House of Towamencin is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to join our team in Lansdale, PA. This full-time role focuses on maintaining the building and grounds, responding to resident work orders, and preparing apartments for move-in with a strong emphasis on safety and quality service.

You will perform plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting and landscaping tasks, participate in training, and help keep common areas clean and safe for residents and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Ability to perform plumbing, electrical, carpentry tasks.
• Willingness to respond to emergencies and maintain safety.

Responsibilities

• Responds to and completes resident work orders, ensuring quality of service.
• Prepares apartments for move-in as assigned.
• Performs maintenance projects including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting and landscaping.
• Familiar with emergency and safety plans, and responds to emergencies.
• Maintains offices, shops, storage and mechanical areas to standards.
• Attends required training, in-service, and staff meetings.
• May provide transportation services for residents.
• Maintains a safe working environment and protects equipment.
• Maintains a professional demeanor toward residents and staff.
• Adheres to all policies and procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Maintenance Assistant / Porter - Summary:

Ensures the maintenance and upkeep of the building and grounds through routine procedures and special work orders. This position reports to the Director of Plant Operations.

Maintenance Assistant / Porter - Responsibilities:

• Responds to and completes resident work orders, ensuring quality of service to
• maximum resident satisfaction.
• Performs work needed to ready apartments for move-in as assigned.
• Performs general maintenance projects as assigned, including installations and repairs involving plumbing and electrical equipment, carpentry work, painting, equipment repair, snow removal and outside landscaping maintenance.
• Knowledgeable of all property emergency, safety/disaster plans and procedures.
• Responds promptly to emergencies.
• Maintains office, shops, storage and mechanical areas to Morningside Elite
• Management standards.
• Attends all required training, in-service, and staff meetings.
• May provide transportation services for residents.
• Strives to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment, and the achievement of safe working practices.
• Maintains a positive and professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, families, and co-workers.
• Adheres to all policies and procedures of Morningside Elite Management.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Maintenance Assistant / Porter - Requirements:

A High School Diploma or General Education Degree; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
