Job summary

Morningside House of Towamencin seeks a Maintenance Assistant to join our team in Lansdale, PA. This full-time position focuses on maintaining the building and grounds through routine maintenance and handling work orders with the Director of Plant Operations reporting structure.

Responsibilities include completing move-in readiness tasks, plumbing and electrical work, and safety plan adherence, while providing a safe, professional environment for residents and staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• 1–3 months related experience or training accepted.
• Willingness to perform general maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and equipment repair.

Responsibilities

• Responds to and completes resident work orders, ensuring quality of service to maximum resident satisfaction.
• Performs work needed to ready apartments for move-in as assigned.
• Performs general maintenance projects including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, equipment repair, snow removal and outside landscaping maintenance.
• Knowledgeable of all property emergency, safety/disaster plans and procedures; responds promptly to emergencies.
• Maintains office, shops, storage and mechanical areas to Morningside Elite Management standards.
• Attends all required training, in-service, and staff meetings.
• May provide transportation services for residents.
• Maintains a safe working environment and professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, families, and co-workers.
• Adheres to all policies and procedures of Morningside Elite Management.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Maintenance Assistant / Porter - Summary:

Ensures the maintenance and upkeep of the building and grounds through routine procedures and special work orders. This position reports to the Director of Plant Operations.

Maintenance Assistant / Porter - Requirements:

A High School Diploma or General Education Degree; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
