Job summary

The Villas at Galva is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to support the Maintenance Department in planning and directing daily activities to keep the facility safe and comfortable. The role involves coordinating with other departments and external vendors to ensure timely repairs and upkeep.

Ideal candidates will have knowledge of boilers and building systems, plus a solid understanding of safety regulations.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent is required.
• Knowledge of boilers, compressors, generators, and mechanical/electrical/plumbing systems.
• Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations.

Maintenance Assistant

Position Summary:

The primary purpose of the Maintenance Assistant is to assist in planning, organizing, developing, and directing the overall operation of the Maintenance Department to assure that our facility is maintained in a safe and comfortable manner.

Essential Duties:

• Repair facility/resident property; coordinate maintenance services and activities with other related departments; inspect facility for upkeep and supply control; and coordinate with outside vendors.
• Supervise safety and fire protection and prevention programs; inspect work areas and equipment; and ensure that supplies, equipment, etc., are maintained and utilized to provide a safe and comfortable environment.
