Job Overview

The Maintenance Assistant is responsible for performing maintenance and housekeeping duties in the community and around the community grounds as assigned. Responsible for assisting with maintaining a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for the residents, guests, and team members.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Responsibilities:

• Complete all maintenance tasks as assigned by supervisor.
• Perform general maintenance duties such as fixing wall and floor coverings, repairing furniture and fixtures, basic plumbing and electrical work, appliance repairs, painting, refurbishing, and minor building repairs.
• Conduct routine maintenance on community vehicles.
• Maintain tools and repair parts.
• Participate in fire drills and disaster preparedness programs.
• Assist with mechanical systems, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and safety regulations compliance.
• Perform housekeeping duties including floor maintenance and cleaning.
• Ensure safety and risk management protocols are followed, including OSHA compliance and hazard prevention.
• Support resident services by maintaining logs, practicing positive relations, and assisting with community vehicle operation.
• Participate in team activities, meetings, and training to contribute to community success.

Qualifications:

• Preferred: 1+ year maintenance or housekeeping experience.
• Technical education preferred.
• Understanding of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and code compliance.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Knowledge of OSHA and safety regulations.
• Ability to respond to emergencies and handle multiple priorities.
• Effective communication and organizational skills.
