FurstStaffing is seeking a Maintenance Assistant in Illinois to perform hands-on maintenance across plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, and household appliances. The role requires two years of experience or relevant training and a valid driver's license.
You will repair plumbing fixtures, walls, roofs, doors, and windows, and you will service furnaces, dishwashers, stoves, and refrigerators while installing and repairing electrical lighting and minor circuitry.
The Maintenance Assistant performs general maintenance and repair tasks across plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, and household appliances to keep facilities operational.
Repair and maintain plumbing systems, including fixtures, valves, and leak repairs
Repair and replace damaged walls, roofs, woodwork, gutters, doors, and windows
Repair and adjust various appliances and equipment such as furnaces, dishwashers, stoves, and refrigerators
Install and repair electrical lighting systems, fuses, and perform minor electrical repairs
Clean and perform minor repairs on HVAC systems per manufacturer specifications
Two years experience and/or training in building construction or maintenance, or repair or maintenance of mechanical equipment, or a combination of education and experience sufficient to effectively perform essential job duties
Good knowledge of techniques, methods, materials, and equipment used in plumbing, carpentry, electrical repairs, household appliances, and heating systems
Valid driver's license
High school diploma or GED or vocational technician certification beyond high school
