Job summary

Sagora Senior Living’s Elison Independent Living of Lake Worth is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to support the Maintenance Director. You will handle work orders, perform basic carpentry, plumbing, painting, and general maintenance to keep the community well-maintained for residents.

This full-time, on-site role requires physical effort (lifting 50–100 lbs) and the ability to work with residents and team members.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of residential maintenance experience.
• Experience with sheet rock, carpentry, plumbing, painting, and light fixtures.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Able to lift 50–100 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Complete work orders as requested by the Maintenance Director, including changing light bulbs, HVAC filters, painting, plumbing, carpentry, drywall repairs, and other duties.
• Assist with maintenance of all community areas, grounds, parking areas, and equipment (HVAC, lifts, etc.).
• Maintain preventative maintenance records and use work order system to track repairs.
• Conduct daily inspections of building, grounds, and equipment; identify hazards and promote safety for residents and staff.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
