Job summary

Sagora Senior Living is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to support the Maintenance Director in keeping the community’s facilities and equipment in excellent condition. You will handle light carpentry, plumbing, painting, and routine maintenance tasks across the campus.

The role emphasizes resident safety and teamwork within a care-focused environment. The position requires physical stamina, basic carpentry/plumbing skills, and a valid driver’s license, with after-hours availability as needed.

Qualifications

• 6 months of work experience in a position handling residential maintenance items.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Ability to lift between 50 and 100 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Must possess or be willing to acquire a valid driver's license.
• Willingness to work after hours when needed.

Responsibilities

• Complete work orders assigned by Maintenance Director (bulbs, AC filters, painting, plumbing, carpentry).
• Assist with maintenance of grounds, facilities, and equipment across the community.
• Maintain preventative maintenance records and use work order system to track repairs.
