Job summary

Springtree Senior Living in Florida is seeking a Part-time Maintenance Assistant to help run the property's physical operations by performing repairs and preventive maintenance. You will handle plumbing, painting, light electrical, light HVAC, and related tasks to keep resident rooms and common areas safe, clean, and welcoming.

You will complete work orders, assist with move-ins/outs, turnovers, basic drywall, door hardware, and appliance maintenance under the Maintenance Director's supervision.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; technical school preferred.
• Demonstrated success in a similar role.
• May require First Aid cert and valid driver’s license.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Basic math skills.
• Knowledge of HVAC, painting, electrical, plumbing, and life safety systems.

Responsibilities

• Complete work orders in a timely and efficient manner.
• Assist with move-in/move-out preparations, including room readiness.
• Perform room turnovers to ensure units are clean, functional, and ready for occupancy.
• Conduct basic electrical maintenance and minor repairs.
• Troubleshoot and repair basic plumbing issues.
• Handle drywall patching, finishing, and minor wall repairs.
• Repair and maintain appliances as needed; maintain cleanliness of floors and common areas.
• Install, remove, and adjust doors, including lock repairs.
• Paint, wall texturing, and wallpaper installation as required.

We're looking for a Part-time Maintenance Assistant to join our team!

Maintenance Assistant duties include but not limited to facilitating the successful physical community operations by performing repairs and maintenance (plumbing, painting, light electrical, light HVAC, etc.) of the property that will promote a high sense of well-being and aesthetic appeal for residents, families and staff. This position will report to the Maintenance Director.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conduct basic electrical maintenance and minor repairs

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent certificate and a degree or certificate from a two-year technical school program preferred.
• Must possess demonstrated success in a similar position.
• May be required to hold valid First Aid Certification and valid Driver's License.
• Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Possess basic math solving skills.
• Must have knowledge of basic maintenance skills, HVAC, floor tech, painting, pressure washer, electrical, plumbing, and life safety systems
