Job summary

Rancho Vista Senior Living is seeking a Full-time Maintenance Assistant to join our maintenance team in Vista, CA. You will perform plumbing, painting, light electrical, light HVAC, and related repairs to promote a high level of resident well-being and aesthetics.

You will report to the Maintenance Director and support move-in/out readiness. The role requires a high school diploma (or equivalent) with preferred technical training, strong communication, and basic math skills.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is preferred; a two-year technical school credential is also considered.
• Must possess demonstrated success in a similar position.
• May be required to hold valid First Aid Certification and valid Driver’s License.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic math solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure completion of work orders.
• Assist with move-in/out details and prepare rooms for resident use.
• Repair plumbing fixtures.
• Repair electrical apparatus.
• Repair appliances.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitary conditions on floors.
• Perform door removal and installation; repair door locks and adjustments.
• Perform wall texturing, painting, wall repairs and wallpapering.

****We’re looking for a Full-time Maintenance Assistant to join our maintenance team!

Maintenance Assistant duties include but not limited to facilitating the successful physical community operations by performing repairs and maintenance (plumbing, painting, light electrical, light HVAC, etc.) of the property that will promote a high sense of well-being and aesthetic appeal for residents, families and staff. This position will report to the Maintenance Director.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensure completion of work orders.

• Repair electrical apparatus
• Repair appliances
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitary conditions in floors.

Work Schedule:

• 8:00 am- 4:30 pm
• Temporary position for 3-6 months with possible extensions up to permanent
