Job summary

Fern Park Developmental Center in Fern Park, FL is seeking a Maintenance Worker to join our Environmental Services Department. This role helps maintain a safe, clean, and compliant environment for residents with intellectual disabilities.

Schedule: 7am-3:30pm, Monday–Friday. Responsibilities include general maintenance, cleaning, minor repairs on facilities, equipment and vehicles, preventive maintenance support, safety inspections, record-keeping, and participation in drills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year of skilled maintenance experience (medical facility experience preferred).
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (required for transport).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work in diverse settings and adapt to change.
• Proficient in reading and writing English.
• Must maintain all required training competencies.
• Pass Drug Test.

Responsibilities

FPDC is an intermediate care facility for the developmentally disabled. We care for individuals 24/7 in a set of four (4) homes that hold up to 16 individuals.
