Job summary

Carlton Senior Living in Elk Grove is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to support the maintenance manager with repairs, upkeep, and preventative tasks across the community.

Ideal candidates have at least six months of relevant experience and are comfortable using power tools. The role runs Friday to Tuesday, 10am–6pm, with benefits including anniversary bonuses, immediate pay, and health coverage.

Qualifications

• Six months of relevant education and/or hands-on experience.
• Ability to use power tools or industrial cleaning equipment is preferred.
• Background in facility maintenance, HVAC, carpentry, electrical, or plumbing is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Maintenance Manager with repairs, upkeep, and preventative maintenance of the building, equipment, and grounds.
• Support apartment turnover by painting, cleaning carpets, and completing minor repairs to ensure units are move-in ready.
• Respond to maintenance requests and resident concerns promptly, professionally, and with a focus on satisfaction and safety.
• Perform routine tasks including trash management, safety checks, common area cleaning, and equipment maintenance.
• Collaborate with other departments for event setups, move-ins/outs, and marketing needs while upholding community standards.
• Support safety protocols, emergency plans, and elopement prevention practices.
• Foster a warm, collaborative atmosphere with residents, families, and team members.

What we are hiring for:

Schedule: Friday to Tuesday 10am-6pm

Pay Range:

$19-$22

What You’ll Do:
