Emerald Nursing and Rehabilitation in Elizabethtown, PA is hiring a Maintenance Assistant to perform basic maintenance and minor repairs, assist with painting, groundskeeping, and seasonal tasks, and keep work orders prompt.

You will help clean common areas and resident rooms, handle laundry duties, and maintain safety and order throughout the facility, supporting a safe, comfortable environment for residents and staff.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance, housekeeping, or laundry in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Basic knowledge of building systems, tools, and cleaning equipment.
• Ability to work independently and manage time well.
• Attention to detail and commitment to safety and infection control.
• Able to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic maintenance and minor repairs (e.g., plumbing, electrical, HVAC).
• Assist with painting, groundskeeping, and seasonal tasks.
• Complete work orders promptly
• Clean common areas, resident rooms, and facility spaces
• Handle laundry duties: wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens and clothing
• Maintain safety, cleanliness, and order throughout the facility
• Respond to maintenance emergencies as needed
• Support a safe, comfortable environment for residents and staff
