Maintenance Assistant

Green Mountain Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking a dedicated maintenance/environmental services professional to join our team. The successful candidate will handle a diverse range of tasks supporting residents, families, staff, and the facility.

Qualifications include comfort working around the elderly and individuals with varying abilities and medical conditions, professionalism, good communication skills, adaptability, a positive attitude, customer service orientation, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Previous healthcare maintenance experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance such as painting, replacing light bulbs, repairing walls, cleaning, window/screen maintenance, electronics setup, and lawn care including mowing, trimming, and raking.
• Assemble furniture and maintain healthcare equipment like wheelchairs and walkers.
• Deliver and stock supplies, remove waste, and recycle.
• Move furniture and maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Conduct routine and emergency repairs, including plumbing repairs such as faucets and drains.
• Complete required training and participate in on-call rotations, being within an hour of the facility when on call.
