Shook Home Health Care Center in Chambersburg, PA is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to perform general maintenance tasks, respond to work orders, and support safety and upkeep of facilities. This 7:00AM-3:00PM role includes on-call rotation and requires a reliable, self-motivated team player.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent, basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC and mechanical systems.
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with general maintenance duties including painting, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry repairs.
• Respond promptly to work orders and maintenance requests.
• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance tasks.
• Help ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety and building codes.
• Maintain clean and organized maintenance tools, equipment, and work areas.
• Assist with emergency repairs and after-hours on-call maintenance as needed.
• Support seasonal tasks such as snow removal, landscaping, and pest control.

7:00AM-3:00PM with on call rotation.

• Assist with general maintenance duties including painting, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry repairs.

Requirements

• Prior experience in building maintenance, facilities support, or related field preferred.

• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical systems.

• Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.

• Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team.

• Must be able to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor.

• Valid driver’s license preferred (depending on facility needs).
