Job summary

Morningside Elite Management is seeking a Maintenance Assistant / Porter for our Blue Bell, PA community. This full-time role maintains building and grounds, handles requests, and supports safety and emergency procedures.

You will perform plumbing/electrical work, carpentry, painting, and grounds maintenance, respond to emergencies, and help keep common areas safe and welcoming for residents and visitors. A high school diploma or GED is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 months related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Responds to and completes resident work orders, ensuring quality of service to maximum resident satisfaction.
• Performs work needed to ready apartments for move-in as assigned.
• Performs general maintenance projects as assigned, including plumbing and electrical work, carpentry, painting, equipment repair, snow removal and outside landscaping maintenance.
• Knowledgeable of property emergency, safety and disaster plans and procedures.
• Responds promptly to emergencies.
• Maintains offices, shops, storage and mechanical areas to Morningside Elite Management standards.
• Attends required training, in-service, and staff meetings.
• May provide transportation services for residents.
• Maintains a safe working environment and positive demeanor with residents and co-workers.
• Adheres to all policies and procedures of Morningside Elite Management.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Maintenance Assistant / Porter - Summary:

Ensures the maintenance and upkeep of the building and grounds through routine procedures and special work orders. This position reports to the Director of Plant Operations.

Maintenance Assistant / Porter - Requirements:

A High School Diploma or General Education Degree; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
